Grace in the Bearing

A song is drifting in my heart

One of light and grace

A song that tells me to bear my sister’s burden

My brother’s burden

For in the bearing there is grace.

It breaks my heart

For I have many burdens of my own.

Burdens that weigh my soul through miles of sadness and despair,

Burdens that distract and tempt,

Burdens that overwhelm.

But I still have room for others so that I might bear theirs

Because if I do so, they will bear mine also

And in the end, burden is not so great.

So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
